I have been working with Chris since August 2019. From the beginning he was very open to my crazy race plans and always kept in mind other stress factors outside of the training environment, which a lot of us wanna-be athletes that have to work, forget about.


In particular being a woman, it is especially important to have a coach that encourages you to listen to your body.

I was lucky enough to secure a space at Chris’ Virtual Triathlon Training Camp Weekend.  I am a retired Personal Trainer and experienced runner at all distances, but fairly new to triathlon.  I joined Huddersfield Triathlon Club  and met Chris when he was coaching a cycling session for the Club so I knew that the weekend would be well organised and professional, but with some humour and challenge thrown in!

I have subsequently called on Chris’ expertise and experience, and I would thoroughly recommend him as a coach.  He is personable, professional, listens carefully to your goals and translates these into manageable clear actions. All whilst still asking you to look inside yourself and answer the difficult “could you have worked harder?” question in a way that is so un-judgemental, and so clearly your responsibility that next time he asks you want to be able to look him in the eyes and say a triumphant no!
